A great guitar stays great with simple habits: stable humidity, clean contacts, and seasonal setup checks. Here is how we think about maintaining Fojill instruments for years of gigs — not just the honeymoon week.
Climate and storage
Keep relative humidity between 45% and 55% when possible. Hard cases with humidifiers beat leaving guitars on stands over forced-air vents. Sudden swings cause sharp fret ends — plan a quick dress in spring and fall.
Cleaning and hardware
Wipe strings and frets after sweaty sets. A dry cloth on nickel hardware prevents tarnish. Contact cleaner on jacks yearly avoids crackle that masquerades as a bad cable.
Setup and string changes
Note the gauge on your order card and stick within a thousandth when experimenting. Heavier sets need truss relief tweaks and saddle height checks. We publish factory measurements so any tech can return you to baseline.
When to write us
Buzzing above the 12th fret, loose tuners after air freight, or finish checking from venue cold storage — email with photos. We would rather coach a fix than see a good guitar sit unplayed.

Every Fojill instrument is built in our Nashville-area workshop. We do not outsource final assembly overseas.
How long do orders take?
Standard builds ship in four to six weeks. Custom finishes may extend lead time to eight weeks.
Do you sell kits?
Yes — starter through luthier-grade kits with matched pockets, hardware and wiring diagrams.
What setup is included?
Level frets, dressed nut, intonation and action tuned for the string gauge on your order.
Can I return one?
Stock models return within fourteen days if unused. Custom specs are final sale.
